After arrival at Barcelona Airport we will meet our tour escort and we will take our coach to go to our hotel in Barcelona. Barcelona is one of the most famous Spanish cities and also the capital of Catalonia. The city lies on the Mediterranean Coast, between two rivers: Llobregat and Besos and it is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. There were many international events that were held there: Universal Forum of Cultures (2004), The Olympic Games (1992) and World Fair (1888 and 1929). You can find pretty much monuments of the modernist architecture - the most known are of course those whose author was Antonio Gaudí- who projected La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Milá House and Battló House. Visiting Barcelona you cannot forget about its medieval part called Barrio Gotic with its beautiful Gothic Cathedral and narrow streets, about Las Ramblas with its cafés, restaurants and shops and about the outstanding view from the Montjuich Hill. We will register in our hotel for 5 night stay. We will dine in our hotel. Overnight.

Breakfast in our hotel. Today in the morning we will depart for a full day trip to Montserrat to visit the Sanctuary that is famous for its Statue representing Holy Mary with Jesus Child, placed over a solid block of stone coming from the Montserrat Mountain in which base there is the San Michael image. Our Lady of Montserrat is called by the devout Catalans “La Moreneta” because of a dark colour of her wooden face and hands. This carving is one of many Saint Mary’s representations known as “Black Madonnas”. The Sanctuary of Montserrat is part of the Marian Route, together with the sanctuaries of Torreciudad, The Pillar and Lourdes. It is a destination of faith and Marian devotion. It is surrounded with a vast cultural and natural heritage. This is the reason why this itinerary is visited by both, the faithful and pilgrims, as well as by art and nature lovers. We will celebrate Holy Mass in Montserrat Church and after we will have our lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards we will have time for private devotion. Late in the afternoon we will come back to Barcelona. We will dine in our hotel in Barcelona. Overnight.

Breakfast in our hotel. Today we will go by coach to visit Manresa that is located in the geographic centre of Catalonia. It is a place known thanks to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, a knight from Basque noble family, hermit, priest (since 1537), theologian and founder of the Society of Jesus. He stopped in Manresa to pray on his way back from Montserrat almost five hundred years ago - in 1522. We will visit the Cathedral and the Holy Cave, where the future Saint spent a lot of time praying, fasting and writing. We will celebrate Holy Mass there. We will have our lunch at local restaurant in Manresa. In the afternoon we will depart to Barcelona. We will have dinner in our hotel in Barcelona. Overnight.

We will have our breakfast in hotel. Afterwards we will depart to Saragossa that is located on the Ebro River. There were Sedetans - an Iberian tribe - that founded the village that was called Salduie. In the Emperor Augustus times, between 25 BC and 12 BC there was a city named Caesar Augusta to be settled down in the very same place. The Goths occupied the city in the 5th century AD and in 714 the Muslims arrived and took control over it. In 1118 the Aragonese conquered Saragossa and made it the capital of the Kingdom of Aragon. Upon arrival we are going to have lunch at a local restaurant and later we are going to visit the most important sites in Saragossa: the Roman Walls, Puente de Piedra - Stone Bridge, the Cathedral of Saint Salvador and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. Tradition says Our Lady appeared in 40 AD to Saint James the Great who had brought the Christianity to the Peninsula and it is the only one known apparition of St. Mary before her Assumption. The present Baroque Style Church was founded by Charles II, King of Spain and was completed in 1686. In 1725 the Cabildo of Saragossa decided to change the aspect of the Holy Chapel and the architect Ventura Rodriguez converted the building to its present dimensions. We will celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica and afterwards we will have time for private devotion. Return to our hotel in Barcelona for late dinner and overnight.
